Participate in the 10th Annual “Amble with Angus” on Friday, December 16th 2011 @ 7:30am and be a part of the 2011 CBC/Suncor Food Bank Drive in support of the Calgary Food Bank. Our goal this year is to have 1000 athletes (runners and walkers), early on the morning of December 16th, brave the cold temperatures to run five kilometres in support of the Food Bank’s Children’s Milk Program.
Angus Cowan and the CBC have organized this community event for the past nine years to support the Calgary Food Bank. The Children’s Milk Program provided 63,422 litres of milk and 2,607 containers of infant formula to Calgary children in need last year. The event occurs live “on air” during the peak air time of the CBC morning show, the Calgary Eye Opener.
